Maybe you're sad or depressed,
but God can change
But! The word "but" often leads to think of something opposite to what has been said before. For example, "I would love to come to the beach with you BUT ..." But I have to work! But I have no money! But I do not feel very well ...
In the first verse of the first psalm, King David has listed three things that the believer should just avoid. The life of the believer is not, however, only a list of prohibitions. Do not do this, do not do that. Your life can be very joyful, pleasant, happy, but does not reach this happy life if you always do only what is given you, without thinking.
MA is a word I try to wake up, make you stop to think, to let you know that the decisions should be taken by force, even if it costs you. However, if you prefer not to think, not think, not to decide, it is clear that your life is not very happy today and tomorrow will be much less.
You must tell the truth, the truth, at least to yourself! Do not pretend that everything is fine if you do not. Try to fool yourself is a step towards madness. And to failure.
"it wants to tell you, in the first psalm, that when making the decision, and put it into practice, to avoid the three evils mentioned in the first verse, you will be able to do that turn you can give true happiness .
fact, referring to the man he calls "blessed" in the first verse, because it avoids three dangers, David writes: "But his delight is ..."
The truth is that you can have joy, peace, prosperity and a rich future when you'll have in your life, your mind, your heart, the same "pleasure" that the man has spoken of in this psalm.
Beloved, in Italian, means: "A feeling or sensation of pleasure or satisfaction, usually as a condition continues." Bello, no? In the Bible, "delight" to say this, but even more, namely the attainment of this joy and peace to the middle of something or someone that continually renews and strengthens your happiness.
Maybe now your life contains moments of joy and satisfaction that are, however, only short intervals between long periods of your loneliness, boredom or unhappiness. I think you know exactly what I mean.
Good thing God does not want to leave anyone in this condition. In fact, want you to live constantly with a kind of joy and contentment that only He can give and that the majority of people around you can neither imagine nor enjoy.
Tell God what makes you unhappy or dissatisfied with your life. What you get discouraged and depressed? And then tell him that he really want to change you. Will! And I'll tell you how it can be done.
