su una strada bagliata!
Che scocciatura sbagliare strada! L’ho fatto l’estate scorsa a Filadelfia, mentre ero negli USA. Il guaio non era tanto sbagliare strada e trovarmi a decine di chilometri dal punto in cui credevo di trovarmi, quanto avere un appuntamento importante al quale rischiavo di non arrivare in tempo. Se non fosse stato per l’angelo che il Signore mi ha messo vicino, avrei certamente creato una situazione imbarazzante.
The 'angel' was a distinguished man who approached me with sure-footed when I stopped at a service station. I asked if I could show how to get to that road, and he immediately drew a diagram of the roads that would lead me to destination (about thirty miles away) just in time for my appointment.
Maybe you did wrong way sometimes and maybe you're even in trouble right now because you're on the wrong track.
Last week I wrote about people walking down the wrong path, listening to advice people not to be trusted. The same author who wrote the essay that dangerous situation, he warned his Readers of another danger.
"never stops" , wrote "in the way of sinners" . Already know that in a big city, there are roads that are best avoided. There are streets where they stop the thieves, one that is full of bars and casinos. There is a street of prostitutes and the angle where you can buy drugs. Stop
in these places long could really try to fall into sin. (Sin is often attractive and offers promises of pleasures and benefits that can never keep.) But it is also possible that, as you are innocent, the police have set up a control area and you stop to ask for your documents and asking who you are, what you do and why you are there.
Who is at risk when passing through a similar path is the person who has no goals, but stops to watch and admire, ask questions and chat. The person is too simple to understand that not all those that appear to be thinking of his friends are really good.
But the most dangerous roads, which are visited by "sinners" are not only in squalid suburbs where you would fear to go. They are located in elegant downtown bar, in venues frequented by the most famous people in cinemas where films are projected most popular. ARE EVEN IN YOUR HOME, BEFORE YOUR TELEVISION. Or in your room, the screen of your computer.
If you are used to stop in the path of sinners, if you find your rest in their company, if only in this way, your friends, colleagues or acquaintances have pleasure of attending, are in great danger.
