O memory of the living
Like every year, the cemeteries are filled up to capacity. Of living. Vivi who visit the dead! Flowers. Memories. Tears. And some call for help. Why not?
If someone who loves you has already passed the other side, perhaps you could give some help, or an important tip. Or at least so many people believe.
course, to remember their dead loved ones is always right, to thank God for what has been important in our lives.
But, according to the Word of God, serves neither beg nor to pray for them. Everyone knows that when Jesus' disciples asked him how they should pray, he replied: "Pray: Our Father which art in heaven ..." pray to the Father, God, is right, because all good comes from Him and because He deserves our praise and our gratitude.
But never, in the Holy Bible, Jesus or any other taught to pray to Mary or other Christians who are alive or dead. Only God almighty and omnipresent can hear our prayers and He alone has the power to hear us. So ask prayers for others is useless and is also a disobedience of humans raising the level of God, perhaps without realizing the serious mistake, believing that they are able to listen and help.
La preghiera è uno dei più grandi privilegi che Dio ha dato agli uomini ed è importante che ogni vero cristiano faccia uso gioioso di questa benedizione spesso e secondo l’insegnamento biblico.
Nella preghiera parliamo al nostro Padre celeste, prima di tutto per lodarlo e ringraziarlo, riconoscendo la nostra dipendenza da Lui e il nostro bisogno di Lui in ogni momento della nostra vita. In secondo luogo, possiamo mettere davanti a Lui tutti i nostri problemi, tutte le cose che ci disturbano, che ci spaventano o che ci preoccupano. Possiamo parlargli dei nostri cari (viventi!) e del loro bisogno di Lui.
La Bibbia non ci promette che ogni preghiera avrà una risposta positiva, perché spesso non sappiamo se le nostre richieste siano secondo il piano e la volontà di Dio. Perciò, preghiamo, come ha fatto Gesù, prima della sua crocifissione: “Non la mia, ma la tua volontà sia fatta” .
Purtroppo, nell’antichità, molti pagani credevano che gli spiriti dei loro familiari morti rimanessero vicini a loro e potessero intervenire nella loro vita, facendo sia del bene sia del male. Perciò, li pregavano per ricevere aiuto nella vita quotidiana, e offrivano loro dei doni e sacrifici perché non facessero loro del male. La Bibbia vieta queste usanze di preghiere rivolte agli antenati, perché ogni preghiera dev’essere indirizzata a Dio solo.
“Siate always cheerful, never cease to pray, in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you " (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
