Cowards
.
A "weak" human
A leading figure of the Bible which we may award the prize of "Coward of the faith"? Who has distinguished himself as one who was afraid to offend his brethren in faith and so he denied the truth important?
Certainly "coward" is not an adjective that can be used lightly.
The coward is a person who, for fear it behaves inconsistently and disonerevole front of his duty. For example, it would be a cowardly soldier who escaped from the battle front mentre i suoi compagni affrontano la morte.
E questi atteggiamenti possono turn out to be cowardice.
According to the episode described by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians in the New Testament, we can assign the title of "Coward of the faith" to the Apostle Peter, who also preached a sermon very brave on the day of Pentecost.
why. During his itinerant ministry, Peter visited Galatia, which was a region of Turkey, where the various Christian communities had sprung up. While preaching the Gospel in that part of salvation only through Christ, he behaved like a man freed from the laws and religious customs of the Jews with regard to eating and drinking. It was good to do so. Faith in Christ frees the believer traditions and religions of the charges, because the compliance of these laws is no longer required for salvation and living in communion with God
However, when they arrived in Galatia from Jerusalem believers in Christ who were born as Jews Peter, and yet they submitted to various human rules, cowardly Peter began to refuse to eat together with believers of Galatia ex-pagan, to understand the newly-arrived that he is still subdued to the laws and Jewish traditions as they did.
The apostle Paul said to him in the face, in front of all believers, Jews and ex-ex-pagans, who acted with hypocrisy because he knew that believers in Christ were not longer subject to those laws, but rather sought only to avoid being criticized and hurt by the newly-arrived. In doing so, Peter showed mistakenly released from paganism to believers, yet it was right to keep a division between believing Jews and Gentiles.
Peter Paul shooting because, misrepresenting the truth, hide the great revelation that in Christ all who believe in Him are free, saved by grace and are no longer subject to rules and religious practices in order to have communion with God who now hides
his personal testimony of faith, or hide the great truths of the Bible as not to offend someone or not to be misjudged, is a candidate as worthy of the prize of cowards.
