The film is set in London, which Hitchcock shows and more through the gray market ortofrutticolo.La plot proceeds almost always surprise the audience, as has always been a Hitchcock, but this time 'not troppo.Le events held the audience in suspense, but not sequences lacking a bit 'noiosette.Molte are also bizarre things in the film: such as the dinner of the police chief with his moglie.Tutte things strane e bizzare io le ho prese come una sorta di presa in giro agli inglesi tutti perfettini,come quei due signori che scendono dalle scale dell'agenzia matrimoniale.Bella come sempre la fotografia di Gilbert Taylor;bellissima sequenza e movimento di macchina da presa in occasione del secondo omicidio che fà scorrere l'immagine con un gran silenzio lasciando in panico lo spettatore.La musica di Ron Goodwin non è come quella di Bernard Hermann,ma funziona e coinvolge.Anche gli attori fanno un buon lavoro nel film.Hitchcock inoltre in questo film per la prima volta si lascia andare ai suoi primi nudi e parolacce.Lo stesso,appare nella sequenza del dibattito sul fiume,tra la folla.Sicuramente non è uno dei film piu' riusciti di Hitchcock ma comunque a good yellow, and then personally, I am very fond of this film, I can not forget the first time in Psycho.
